Childrens Ministry

As it says in Ps127:3  "Children are a gift from the Lord..."

AFCM Ireland recognises the importance of our children so precious to Our Lord and sees in them  the future of our Church.

The main purpose of this ministry is to  help children come closer to Jesus, to strengthen them to live spirit-filled lives as followers of Jesus in this modern world, and so to begin their own evangelisation mission.

Proverbs 22:6  "Train the young in the way they should go; even when old, they will not swerve from it."

We welcome all children to weekly prayers for different age groups ;

Little Angels (ages 5-8)             - Fri 6pm
Preteens (ages 9 - 12)               - Sat 6pm
Teens (ages 13 - 15)                   - Sat 9pm
Older teens (ages 15 to 17)     - Fri 9pm

Led on Zoom by one of our Children's Ministers, during these 1hr prayer meetings, every child is encouraged to actively participate in the Rosary, praise and worship  to share the Word of God.

Intercession prayers are offered daily for a different child in each group.

We also conduct special events and programmes during the school holidays including Children's Retreats, Movie time with family, Bible reading mission etc.
As health guidelines allow, we look forward to resuming 'live' Children's Retreats by God's grace!
